I think probably the best single thing you can do to increase the boost with stock compression is 100+ octane fuel (or c16 face fuel). Get something around 104 octane and you can probably boost to 12 psi, but then you might bend a connecting rod I don't know. Also there are some rumors that the stock MAFS can't read anything above 8 psi or something like that, not sure on that do a search.
