Thought I would share a modified 2z from a race car which we run in new Zealand.

Well that obviously wouldn't fit in a standard car, I'm interested in engine internals, management system stuff like that. Info that could possibly help us 2ZZGE enthusiasts over here with our goals. They run them in a small f1 looking car, I'm not sure on the cost I only know the guy who builds the engines and helped design them for toyota here.
the sighn says aprox 215 hp. idk if u can do that without messing with the internals. wouldnt it have been done? They have to keep stock internals, I'm not sure on ecu but I can find out more when I see the guy again.
plug for a coolant hose im guessing. there's another one on the front by the custom oil pump with the shiny red hose =P when in the car the hoses would be running off of those areas. plugged while on displayThe valve cover looks huge what is that big bolt looking black thing on the side?
just imagine this engine with with a built head and bottom end :drool:I believe they are made more for reliability hence they run a dry sump etc. Factory 2zz would make roughly 180 HP from the engine. This means they have gained 35hp from modifying the intake and header. I don't think they are going for all out power as the header is 4-2-1 design more of a broarder power range.
i wonder if they run it for a small f1 looking car maybe they use pnumatic valves???They run them in a small f1 looking car, I'm not sure on the cost I only know the guy who builds the engines and helped design them for toyota here
