30k mile full maintenance highly recommended!

Well I brought my car in last saturday for my 30k mile(im at 32k) maintenance, which costed me $250 without the oil change(had the oil change at 30k). I also got a 4 wheel alignment since I didn't get that done after installing my trd springs. For those of you who are questioning if it is worth the money or not, I'd say it definitely is. My car literally feels like the first day I got it. Everything feels smooth and tight. The alignment did wonders too. My car used to feel like it was hopping a bit when i took hard turns(for some reason i thought it was normal...), but now it takes those turns very smoothly. I was very hesitant to throw away $250 on maintenance, but in the end it was well worth it.

Well that's good to hear.. I've gotta bring my 'lude in for 60k mile maintenance and I've checked at like 4 places and they're all around $400 for that sucker.. argh.. oh well, it's a big checkup (change all the fluids, flush radiator, wheel and valve alignment, etc.. ) so hopefully I'll feel the same way you did after your maintenance..

I could probably do most of it myself but don't feel like messing with changing the ATTS unit fluid..

My question for everyone is, have any of you noticed a stuttering almost in your idle... I am @ just over 31K miles and my car seems to almost want to die when I am @ a stop light. this does not happen all the time, but has seemed to have happened a bit moer often lately. Maybe i should just drop the money for the 30K maintenance, but getting a full tune up already seems like a waste (all of my previous cars never needed one before atleast 75K) but any advice you all have will be very usefull.

i've noticed the same thing on my auto gts (34000).i've done the 30k tune up and it's still there but it got less since i reset my Safc.

I've had my 6speed do that a few times when it first started getting a little cold as well. think its normal.

As far as the rough idling at times goes, It's okay, just as long as you don't stall. Mine drops down to 500rpms when coming to a stop at intersections once in a blue moon. I got worried at first, but seems like lots of people have the same symptoms but no stalling whatsoever.

I am not arguing against the 30K maintenance, but your logic does seem flawed. I think the alignment is what you needed, which would have cost $40-$80. The only adjustment that can be made to the front-wheel alignment is the toe. The rear toe and camber can be changed also. If you received a printout of the alignment before-and-after specs, you will probably see that your front toe was out of spec. You may have had too much toe-out, which can cause the steering to feel jumpy.

Personally, I think the benefit of the 30K maintenance is that it gives the dealer one last chance to find any problems before your warranty runs out, and it keeps you on good terms with your service department. It's like a pay-off.

hummm... i am gonna do my own maintenance until 50k.. cuz up to 30k, IMO, you can pretty much do it yourself unless ur like declined with cars...
