I have not done this but I don't believe there would be any type of gain by switching to an aftermarket fan. Cars with a mechanical fan that are switched to an electric fan can see a gain but I wouldn't think switching to a different electric fan would make any difference.
if the after market have higher CFM it may help to gain a bit by allowing the engine to cool faster when the fan switch activate the fan....but don't expect too much out of it......
does anyones else fans turn on alot for them? i sit at a lgiht soemtimes and the damn things kick on, my power goes straight DOWN. is this normal for them to be on alot? whens it shot out though.
The reason that a fan will kick on at a stop light is because you no longer have the air passing through the radiator passively... That's my theory tell me if it sounds like I'm too far off.
yes please pm me or email me so i can manuely turn on my fan, that would be great, what kind of switch did you use and where did you get it? i would love to cool my car down faster when im not running
