I installed an ebay CAI about a week ago and I just got a check engine light. I took it to autozone and the code was p0446. I did research and i made sure all hoses were tight and everything. Anyway, I had the exact same ebay CAI on my first 2000 GTS, but I NEVER got a CEL. So, I was just wondering how many of you guys with ebay or AEM CAI's have gotten cel's and how many haven't.

Never have...It all depends on how lean your car runs from the beginning...if your car runs lean out of the factory, adding an ebay/aem intake will cause the CEL

Had a cel but it was other issues. Haven't had one since the rebuild, 5 months now. knock on wood!

You hooked up something incorrectly. 0446 is caused by something wrong with the EVAP system. Make sure all the hoses are connected tightly and attached to the right parts.

Thanks for the replies guys. I did check my hoses and everything... i think I may have found the culprit, so we'll see. Hopefully I won't have to see the CEL go on again...

Remember you're going to have to reset your ECU to get rid of the code.

I have had CEL's go away during driving.
