I still don't understand how this is significantly better than a regular supercharger or even a turbocharger.

what's the point ?

why not have full boost all the time ?

superchargers are neato cuz they're off, or they're on - so you can get reasonable fuel economy if you don't floor it, and if you have a roots, you get max power from all RPM (still don't even understand why people use centrifugal . . . . get a turbo at that point).
