I wish I could've signed up, but I didn't know if I'd have a car by then. The slots fill up to damn quick. If I still had my GT-S then, I'd kick some ass. I got 4th last month, and the tires were at the end of their life. I beat up on a fellow Celica and an RSX though.
But that was the last hoorah in the Celica as I am turning in the car on the 17th for the end of the lease.

I just got a '99 sport Miata this past weekend. I didn't know if I'd find the right car before this even, or else then I'd be there to kick some Celica and Type-R ass. But alas, I will have to wait until the May session.

So how did you do?

I signed up on the waiting list, and got in. I did alright. My best time was 61.388 I think. Not the greatest times, but damn was it fun on those ****ty all season tires, swinging the ass end around, counter steering - RWD, gotta love it. It was so much more fun in the Miata than the Celica. Next time, maybe I will have some decent tires and an alignment, and be a little more competitive.

My times sucked - but I don't know how I did on my 4th run yet, it's possible that was redeeming. best run AFAIK was 69 something As Jake will attest I wasn't pushing hard enough in a lot of places, and I wasn't going wide on the corners like I needed to be... took them at more of a 90 degree angle than a smooth curve. The top right of the course in particular - as the chicane was getting closer together - is what did me in. (That and my tires - must blame the weak all seasons )

Well I had 3 goals - don't hit any cones, don't go off course, and don't finish last in DS. I accomplished the first two but I don't know about the 3rd yet...

Damn you cones! Why must you constrain me!!

:werd just power slide through all the turns. then you will have a good excuse to get new tires.

The course from this past weekend was not conducive to good line taking. In a lot of places the course was too tight to allow for wide turns when needed. I looked like a fast course but turned out to be pretty slow considering how short it was.
