is having the vacuum hose go through the firewall grommet going to effect the readings? it seems like all the clutter in the grommet would compress the hose too much. am i just overreacting?

If it bothers you you could use an electrical gauge instead.

you shouuld be fine...the hose that comes with gauges is pretty tough to prevent pinching
