I just installed powerstop drilled and slotted rotors with ceramic pads and new caliper brackets. When I went out to test drive it and I brake hard I hear a clunking sound comming from the front brakes. Any ideas what this could be? I have a 2002 celica gts

it can be anything. endlinks, struts, loose brake pad? best bet would be to take off the wheel and check everything. maybe you forgot the pin? something def sounds loose for you to hear clunking

Okay....this is a good one...
I had something similar happen to right rear...the problem was when the shop turned my rotors they turned them too fast and the bit on lathe walked....look at your rotors closely and if that's what happened you can actually see the scratches on the rotor where I walked...so then the pad shifts up and down over those scratches and they can literally move upwards or down fast enough to clunk against the caliper itself....just return or order new rotors to fix..on mine it sounded like a thunk thunk the...when I hit brakes
