its a stock part that is apart of the automatic Celica GT transmission system. You can buy this part and send it to a shop to have it modified for better gearing. Thats what I originally purchased it for but never got around to actually doing that.yello2k3 said:this may be a noob question but will the torque converter warrant any gains?

Yes, it will fit a GTS, i bought it from a member who had it on his GTS. The exhaust is in good condition, no dents or dings. As for performance & sound, look that up in the forums, the sound is low and it does give gains.
will this fit on a 2000 GTS? If so how does it preform, sound and how is the condition exactly? thanks
