Tell your mom to spend some money and do the carfax herself. You shouldn't do her dirty work for her. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is and also keep in mind that carfax is not 100% reliability because half the time nothing will be posted. You have to take the car to a professional mechanic and have them look at it, climb underneath and see if theres any frame damage on the frame rails or evidence of flooding.

not using and I figured they could throw me a bone. I also know that carfax reports are unreliable but it gave a little report saying that carfax had six records for the vehicle to check but they wanted $24.95 to do it and she only has to check this one. It is not one of those Ebay specials for $5.95 or she would just pay that. I just thought if anyone had a month free they could help out.
