Don't forget that drag is also dependent on air density. Lowering the car increases the density of the air you're operating in, increasing drag.

(hey, if you want to get ridiculous enough to talk about the decrease of tire frontal area from lowering, why not this?)

Woah woah....lowers the air density? If you RAISE the car from Death Valley up to Denver, sure, but 2 inches?
um, I think I said "increases" the air density

Regardless of my misquote, you didn't answer the question.......why does lowering your car 2 inches CHANGE air density?
For the same reason going from Denver to Death Valley does...of course, in this scenario, it's negligible.

I thought that me saying "hey, if you want to get ridiculous enough to talk about the decrease of tire frontal area from lowering, why not this?" would make it clear that I was just poking fun.
