Hey everybody, I had a major case of insomnia last night (couldn't sleep until 4:30) and that's when I had this thought... Wouldn't lowering the car make it go faster!? Now before you think it sounds absurd hear me out. Wouldn't lowering the car also lower it's coefficient of drag, thus enabling it to cut through the air much easier? If so, wouldn't we have a higher top speed compared to a car that hasn't been lowered? Also, take this scenario... Two equal cars, two equal drivers and everything else is equal (fuel, air pressure, etc.) ONly difference is one car is lowered by 2.5." If they were to race on the track, wouldn't the lowered car win by a few tenths as well as have a higher trap speed? Sorry if this is all a bunch of crap... This is what happens when I can't sleep!!!
