My 2000 Celica is in excellent shape except for the center of the steering wheel. The Toyota symbol is badly scratched and I would like to do something to make it look better. Any suggestions appreciated.

A) Get a TRD Horn Button to replace the Toyota Horn Button

B) If the plastic surrounding that is messed up, wrap the whole airbag section in black suede.

C) Find one in better shape off a wrecked Celica or someone who bought an aftermarket wheel.

If you want to look like it does now, you can take it off, and sand out the scratches. It will make everything dull, so you will need to take it to a body shop and have them reclear the center badge for you next time they clear a car. The clear will give it the gloss look again. I bet they charge you $5 at most. Then reglue it back to your wheel.

Now you could reclear it yourself, but it may not come out great or may flake off after a year in the sun if the quality of the clear coat isn't that great as often found in spray cans from automotive stores.
