Well if you are not looking for a specific brand of deadening here, I suggest definately getting a roll of the RAAMmat. I am not going to say the Dynamat is bad, but you are basically paying for the name. Also in my opinion you are paying too much for it. If you want to get the best for your money I would definately send Rick an email.

Here is the site. http://raamaudio.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi

Also even if you don't believe me and still think Dynamat is the best. Here are some threads to show you that Rick at Raamaudio is praised by many car audio enthusiasts. These aren't just the average people into car audio either, these are true audiophiles.

Send him an email and let him know rekd0514 or Rick Dailey sent you. Also tell him that you are a member of one of the main audio forums such as the ones above and he will hook you up. Rick has some of the best customer service you will ever find.

I also recommend you read all the articles he has on his site. Definately read the installation guides he has. Also this one is very cool. http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/

I got my roll, 3 yards of Ensolite, and glue for $150 shipped!

For that price, the RAAMmat is a lot better deal! That stuff wouldn't be near as good either. If you don't want to deaden a whole lot, you can always order a half roll from Rick too. Though a roll of RAAMmat (62sq ft) is only like $100 + actual shipping with the forum discount. With that in account, half a roll then would only be like $55-$60 for 31sq ft.

Ya fatmat is only 45 mil, RAAMmat is 65. So you are paying for a lesser quality deadening. Also check out this link if you want to see some comparisons on the different deadening available.

IMHO I would say there is basically only one deadening that is any better. Damplifier looks like it is a better product, but it also costs quite a bit more. Best deal out the for the best deadening is definately RAAMmat, I can't reccomend it enough.
