Hi, I want buy exhaust for my celica GTS 00, and decide between Invidia and Greddy evo exhaust. Both are cat back exhoust. Which is better?

both are not cat back. if you want cat back, youll have to find a Kazuma exhaust. is that what your set with as in options? just those 2 axle back exhausts??

Those are two very different exhaust tones from what i know of. Are you looking for a loud or quiet exhaust??I would say Greddy Evo would be your best pick out of your selection though, juss my .02

The greddy evo and invidia are only axle back not catback. If you would want a cat back exhaust u would need to go Kazuma or custom.

right. the two exhausts you chose are axle back. only catback for our celicas is the kazuma or a custom exhaust. the greddy evo2 is a lot quieter than most exhausts. just a little bit more rumble than the stock.

If your car's a daily driver, I'd go with the GReddy. Looks and sounds great (though not as great as my TRD. :gap: ) I hear Invidia is pretty damn loud; could be annoying hearing that every day.

Now I have greddy, but only last part and in bad condition.

I don't think it would be as loud, but then again, slapping a silencer onto an aftermarket exhaust is kinda like taking a step backwards; if you're going to do that, you might as well stick with your stock exhaust.

^^silencers dont reduce flow that much. an aftermarket exhaust with a silencer is still a little better than stock, but barely.

Oh yes they do. Going from a 4" tip/2.5" outlet to a 1" silencer means LOTS of restriction. Less air flow = less power output. Not to mention your car will sound constipated.

If you need to put a silencer into your exhaust, then that exhaust is not for you.

High Flow Cat?

I commute in my GT-S, so I don't want significantly more noise, but would like a performance increase. From reading the forums, it appears that the major bottleneck is the cat, not the muffler. Isn't a high flow cat what I'm looking for, and is there such a thing for the GT-S? I found a Magnaflow, but is it really higher flow than stock?
Additionally, I live in Denver, so the car has to pass emissions and a visual cat inspection. I can't just install a pipe. I'm guessing this car might just pass emissions with just a pipe, but they visually verify the cat is in place.

No it isnt an actual cat back it is only an axle back. Alot of companies say they are cat backs but for the Celica it is only an axle back.

I went with the Invidia and I love it. It has a great sound. Here is a video that I made last winter when anouther member wanted this exhaust, I should help you get an idea of what it sounds like. At that time the exhaust was my only mod.

I eventually ended up putting a straight pipe on cuz I wanted it to be louder..but thats just me.

Catback for other cars, but only axleback for the Celica. And the exhaust in the picture's not the application for the Celica, either. Our Invidia application has a pretty big U-bend and is one piece.
