ok guys opinions needed. currently i have a 2000 gts with a greddy evo 2 exhaust. i've been wanting a louder one because we all know the greddy is as silent as they come. the thing is, i dunno if the louder one is going to annoy me after a while. my friend with a very loud s2k is always complaining about his exhaust being too loud. i also have an injen CAI which i can hear over my exhaust. the sound is good, but i'd really like to actually hear my exhaust instead of only my intake. ok i know i'm gonna get flamed on this, but another factor is my gf. she says my car is loud enough now and can hear me coming down the street. i don't really want to upset her because life will just be easier if i dont. :D but then again...she won't stop me from doing it, she just wont like it.

ok so back on topic...has anyone heard of or has any experience with ANSA silverline exhausts? i was thinking about selling my evo2 and picking one of these silverline's up. they sound good and deep and can probably scream in lift. but i dont really want to downgrade. here's a link to the site with video clips.
http://www.ansaautomotive.com/SoundVideo/index.html

so here's the main question: should i go with the silverline? or should i stick with the greddy? i can get one for about $150 and probably sell my greddy for at least $300. opinions? suggestions? thanks guys!

IMO you should buy the exhaust that provides the most performance gains (isn't that what it's for?). This link may help you decide http://www.turbomagazine.com/tech/0209tur_toyota_celica_exhausts_test/
yea i know that link. i dunno, but the difference between the different exhausts isn't more than 1 hp....so i kinda want a better sounding exhaust ya know? i mean i'm all for performance, but if i get a better sounding exhaust for the loss of 0.8 hp, then i'm down...

You're only reading the peak numbers. That happens at 1 RPM of 8400. You need to actually look at the charts and curves to see the difference, not just the peak numbers.

You know you could mod the EVO 2 to make it louder. There are some people running that version, you should search for that topic, if you can't find it, then make a new thread with a "right-to-the-point" title. Don't make it vague. Hopefully it'll be stickied as a modifying guide.
