Vin Diesel Confirms Seventh 'Fast and Furious' Movie in the Works
“With the success of this last one, and the inclusion of so many characters, and the broadening of scope, when we were sitting down to figure out what would fit into the real estate of number six, we didn’t have enough space,” Diesel told THR during the photoshoot for its Rule Breakers 2011 portfolio.

Fast Five moved the franchise from the genre of car-racing adventure to action-adventure heist, while garnering the best reviews in the franchise’s history and grossing an astonishing $626 million worldwide. Apart from reuniting supporting characters from previous movies, it added star power in the form of Dwayne Johnson. A coda at the end of the movie teases the return of a character played by Eva Mendes last seen in 2 Fast 2 Furious as well as the return of Michelle Rodriguez.

“We have to pay off this story, we have to service all of these character relationships, and when we started mapping all that out it just went beyond 110 pages,” Diesel explained. “The studio said, ‘You can’t fit all that story in one damn movie!’"

Diesel did not reveal details on whether the two movies would be two-parters or two standalone movies.

The movies have proved unexpectedly resilient, something that may have to do with the themes of family and brotherhood, according to the creative team.

“It’s not about the action and the cars, which initially appealed to me when I was 25 years old,” said Walker. “Because if that’s all it was, it would have fallen off a long time ago.”

Get ready for more.

Isn't there only 5 out? And number 7's coming out....?
The sixth installment of the Fast and Furious franchise will be split into two movies.
So, part 6 and 7 are being filmed together. There is a part 6 coming and they are not jumping from Fast Five to part 7.

i'm excited to see whats the deal with Leny. Michelle Rodriguez is sure hot in a way.

what they really need to do is get the right cars in the movies. Meaning....stick to the timeline as the prequels to tokyo drift is kinda off. Han dies in tokyo drift, but he is seen driving an LSF at the end of Fast Fast

From Wikipedia:

The Fast and the Furious 6 (2013)
Vin Diesel, Jonathan Harp, and series producer Neal H. Moritz are already developing the sixth film "Fast Six",[1][2] which will be written by Chris Morgan.[3] Director Justin Lin stated in an interview that he intends to get Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Eva Mendes, Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson back as well as others.[4] On June 24, 2011, Vin Diesel revealed on his Facebook account that the release date for "Fast Six" is Memorial Day (May 24), 2013.[5][6] On December 1, 2011 it was confirmed by Ludacris via Twitter that "Fast Six" will start filming in 2012. The Los Angeles Times reported that Universal was considering filming two sequels — Fast Six and Fast Seven — back to back with a single story running through both films; both written by Morgan and directed by Lin.
Chronological Order:
The Fast and the Furious (2001)

2 Fast 2 Furious (2003)

Fast & Furious (2009)

Fast Five (2011)

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006)

Fast Six (2013)

Fast Five takes place before Tokyo Drift.

Honestly I think they should just ignore Tokyo Drift altogether and just go on from there. Also, I don't think Han should die so easily considering....he did stuff like Fast Five.

i know....Han shouldnt even be driving an LSF in fast five when he dies in tokyo drift. it just doesnt fit the timeline as far as cars go. there were too many new cars in fast five that werent available back in 2006. its like they traveled into the future and brought back current-day cars into 2006.

Poster for Fast & Furious 6!
Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian's (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin's empire and left their crew with $100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Actually doesn't sound like too bad of a plot.

FAST 6 and FAST & FURIOUS 7 SPOILERS
At the end of FAST & FURIOUS 6, the crew has helped Hobbs (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) in dispatching of Luke Evans' Owen Shaw, earning their full pardons, enabling them to return back home, with Dom (Vin Diesel), Brian (Paul Walker) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) all seemingly ready to live the rest of their lives free and happily ever after.

Now this is where the big reveal comes in. As it was structured when I cemented this information, the following sequence was placed immediately after that peaceful ending, but it's entirely possible that it may be shifted to occur sometime during the end credits, much like the reveal of Letty still being alive was during FAST FIVE.

We then see a pair of hands on a steering wheel, with Japanese suddenly coming across a police scanner in the car. In addition, looking around the car, we see that the inside of this particular S-Class has been reinforced for some reason. The scanner puts out the call for all units to respond to a high-speed chase taking place between an orange and black Mazda RX-7 and a grey Nissan 350Z, and this suped-up Mercedes floors it, taking off from its parked position.

This mysterious driver monitors the chase from a parallel road before geting ahead of the pursuit. At this point, he heads down a street on his left at an incredibly high rate of speed. Upon seeing the RX-7 approaching the coming intersection, the driver floors it, timing his entry into the intersection to slam right into the side of the Mazda, sending it rolling over upside-down, as the S-Class appears only minimally damaged.

This mystery driver then steps out of the vehicle, and it is now that we finally learn who is behind the wheel...

Are you ready for it...?

JASON STATHAM!!

Statham, playing Owen Shaw's older brother Ian, walks up to the RX-7 and over towards the driver of the vehicle, which we now see is Han (Sung Kang).

BAM!! DOUBLE WHAMMY!!

We now see that we are right smack in the middle of THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT.

Statham tosses his brother's SAS dog tags into the car, next to the trapped and helpless Han, and, as he walks away, he pulls out his cell and makes a call, calling Dom. Very briefly, as Han's car explodes in the background, much as it did in TOKYO DRIFT, Statham's Shaw warns Dom that he doesn't know him, but he's about to... and, as he walks into the gathering crowd unnoticed, FAST & FURIOUS 6 ends, and we're right on the doorstep to where FAST & FURIOUS 7 will take off.
