I just installed PIAA 1100X lights as fogs. These are one of the only lamps that will fit the small openings in my kit. Problem is they're 55W = 85W super white @ 12V. These things are like spot lights even pointed very low.

Is there a way I can put something inline to lower the output wattage? I've checked for lower output PIAA bulbs @ 55W and could find any.

I hope this thread doesn't get moved...most ppl browse this forum than electrical. Thanks.

The 55W = 85W is just a marketing gimmick. They're only 55W with the supposed look of 85W (which is neve true). If the bulbs are H3, I don't think there's any lower than 55W. What you can do, though, is get some very blue bulbs. They're much darker than the average clear bulb.
