Try the stuff below. All you need to do is apply some cleaner to the dye, let it sit for about 10 seconds, then rub it off with a towel/cloth with the cleaner on it. The dye will come off immediately. Apply more cleaner to the towel/cloth if necessary. Try to do this in a ventilated area cause this stuff smells horrible.


It works fine on the SEM dye, but I'm not sure about other brands. Don't see why it wouldn't work, though.

Is that lacqure thinner or just typical thinner??

I don't think it's a thinner at all. Just a brush cleaner and restorer. I also used this to remove overspray when I painted my headlights and paint removers and thinners didn't work.
