I put in red LED's under my stock gauge needles. I'm trying out a project where I'm using some red needles from another car that's not Toyota made. They already are fine in length, but I'm wondering if there is any other difference besides that between car manufacturers needles? Like, is there a weight difference or anything that will make them swing differently?

dunno... i wonder if they'll even fit on, they might be too long, or the holes might be too big for the pins

I know they're not too long....but dang....I never thought about if the hole for the pins would fit or not.

whats so hard about rubbing the old paint off and painting on a new color?

Well....I did that....but it doesn't have the reflective backing.

Went I had my needles off I saw two little weighs or magnet-like things under the cap. No idea what the real purpose of those are though.

I'm with Chiznarles,get some translucent paint and paint them or look around for needle's that are the correct color and have a seperate bulb.Pm me if you'd like me to hepl look for the needle's.I know some poepl on another car site that have them.~Brad
