Goodbye NC.org

I totalled my car tonight, hydroplaned off a hidden pocket of water on a turn coming home from work and rolled the car 3 times down a slight decline onto another residential street. I don't think I've ever seen a celica in an accident this bad, so I'm greatful to God that I only have a seatbelt rash. I estimating hitting the curb at 50-60mph. I owe $11K on the car and hoping to get 16-17K minus buyback from insurance (if engine is good). The car had 33,000 miles w/ action package, trd wheels, warrantee, navi, leather, manual, immaculate, moon roof.
....priceless to me!

I hit the curb traveling backwards and the car did two mid-air rolls before landing the correct-side up, and rolling one more time on the pavement. The car was my baby for the last 3 years, so plz be careful out there guys/gals, don't make the same mistake I did.

The plan is to get an MR2-S, dump the 2zz from the car in there if its still good, and hopefully I'll have a lil extra$$$ left over for someother good mods.

Does anyone know the best MR2-S forums, one that is equivalent to nc.org???

Anyways, big thanks to NC.org for the support then and now!!

Sorry to hear about the crash Josh, but the main thing is that you are ok.
that sux man, glad you're ok. i, too, flipped my celi and didn't have any injuries, so at least that's a good testament to the safety and structural integrity of the car! seems like more celi's than usual are getting wrecked recently :sadpace:
sorry to hear that bro
MR2OC.com is the best MR2 site.

Glad to hera you're okay! Be thankful for the rugged design of your Celi! If that had been a neon you would be dead.
UPDATE: after pics posted :(
man... so sad to see a damaged Celica, but great to hear you are ok. That is what I noticed about Celica, everyone I hear from this board is ok after the accident.
You have navi = navigation?? Have not seen that on a Celica before...
I expected worse actually from 3 rolls. I think Chris (EasyC) rearending looked worse.

Glad to hear you're ok though..and enquiring minds want to know...did the driver headlight survive? :)

im sure it wasnt stock...i have Navi in mine too
I'm very sorry to hear about the Celi, but it's good to know that you are fine, and also good news that you will get back some of the money through insurance!

Good luck with the engine swap iinto an MR2 -- I think at least one NC.org member has done one (LilRocketSpyder???), so don't feel you have to go just cause the Celi's dead -- and especially if you keep the 2zz :)

On another note ... I hate to ask this ... but, after the insurance adjusters look it over, are you going to be parting out the Celica? If so, PM me, 'cause I'd be very interested in buying some parts from you.

Damn, glad you're okay. Good Luck and keep in touch. It's nice to see old familiar faces here;).

Bat
damn that's horrible, glad you're ok

PS Blue Bat what body kit do you have on your Z?

Looks like the Rsx.
damn sorry to hear, but atleast your fine. it sucks cause you've been on NC for so long, and your car was definitely one of the hot ones.

I bet where ever the other headlight is, it's still in immaculate condition. they always seem to survive.

Ohh BTW the part I ordered back in March from you I'm not going to need anymore, but thx anyway!!!

Edit: Dont be modest about asking about parting it out as soon as insurance gets moving I'll probably have some parts for you local guys.

Tough crowd :wtc: Glad you're okay though. Good luck with whatever car you move onto :)
Good to know you came out okay! Sad to see another Celica owner go, but good to know you're staying within the Toyota Family. :)

If you happen to part out some parts, please PM me. I'm interested to how much you'd sell the trunk plastics or any of the other interior plastics. Also I maybe interested in the leather seats Front & Back depending how much you let them go for.

I want the front bumper! :D ... jk

Did the car crush so much that your neons broke? Or if they're okay... ill take them. I was looking for them in blue. I think there was a site with CCFL's but out of stock. Just post back if you're gonna part out. Thanks
