Has anyone tried to separate the clear lens from the new TYC taillamps? Would it work to warm them, like the Celica headlamps?

i believe somebody tried doing this but they didnt have any luck putting it back together because of the cheap APC quality.

I doubt it would be easy to do. Most tail lights are fused together, melting the plastic from the lens to the rest of the housing. I believe someone was able to separate the stock tails, but they needed to heat them up to the point that they were just about to melt. Then they used a knife to cut through the plastic between the lens and the housing.

ya that's what they said: they're fused together...so it was hopelesss...
