OK, so I purchased a set of 6000K HIDs from another member on the board, and it does not seem like the bulbs are as bright or colorful as they should be(the right side has a bit of a yellow hue to it) and now I want 4300K bulbs. Being it that I got the set for a good deal and it came with Hella ballasts. Here is a picture of the exact kit:

Now, I have a few questions:

1. Will this harness work in order for me to convert my ballasts to hold a D2S bulb?

2. If not, is there another harness that I can purchase that will connect directly to the ballast rather than converting it from the AMP connectors?

3. Since it is a Hella ballast, isn't it supposed to have a separate 12V wire in order to collect power directly from the battery rather than using the stock harness?

4. How can I tell if it has built in ignitors?

Thanks.

1 yes that connector would work, but if you do that you also have to buy the bulb adapters to fit in hte h7.

2. xenon depot actually offers a harness that will fit right into the hella ballast (but this will not change anything of the bulb fitting) it might be a good idea, protects your stock wiring.

3. Only the kit that xenon depot offers comes with the wiring harness. it should work ok but again a 40$ wiring harness from xenondepot would be much safer.

4. It just does. the bulb would not be able to power up if there were no ignitors, im pretty sure that gen ballast has built in ignitors.

lastly if you are worried about light output you should blame the oem celica headlight. IT is not an HID projector and therefore does not emit the light as a proper projector. If you bought 4100-4300 you will actually have MORE yellow than the 6k kit. The 4100-4300 is BRIGHTER but not necessarily bluer. The blue you see from hid kits usually comes from the projectors that are made to distribute the light better. GOod luck

Yes... but you'll need D2S to H7 adaptor

You can get non-OEM D2S bulb with those connector that will connect directly to that ballast... also you can get them in any colors....

3. Since it is a Hella ballast, isn't it supposed to have a separate 12V wire in order to collect power directly from the battery rather than using the stock harness?

You can connect straight to your headlight wiring harness..
If you are picky, then you can get replay to get power straigh from the battery..

4. How can I tell if it has built in ignitors?

They have built in ignitor for sure... if they have external ignitor then there is little box between the HID bulb and the ballast...
