#2's answer is wrong.

Acceleration is when velocity is increasing, not just changing.. if its decreasing that would be call deceleration

negative acceleration is deceleration

but you are accelerating in either a positive or negative direction.

its not wrong

Bah my dynamics book has a RWD 7th gen Celica (with Action Package!), and my statics book has a question on Miata engine swaps.

i was fixing to say the same thing. there is no such thing as deceleration. you can accelerate in the opposite direction of the velocity, which would slow you down, but its still acceleration.

id like to see the celica on the dynamics book. my books usually have really old domestics or bmw's.
