Well this just happened within the past 3 days....but my hood will not pop up when i pull the handle inside my car....is there a cable that may have come undone??

The cable or the lock assembly under the hood is jammed. While you pull the handle have someone tap the hood it should pop up.

it might not be jammed, my hood dosent pop up, i just pull the handle then get my fingers unnder the hood at the weatherstrip and lift

yeh like if i put my fingers under the weatherstrip and lift..it comes up, but it used to pop up...

I had the same problem a few months back. i'd have to pull up the hood instead of having it pop right up to where i could open it. somehow i just sat on the hood and it worked after that :shrug:

The reason hoods dont pop is b/c the rubber cylinder things under the hood are either missing or arent adjusted right. When you close your hood, it shouldnt be easy. if its too easy to close, adjust the rubber peices till you need to put a little force to close it. This also helps hoods from floppin around when on the highway.

Theres adjustment you can do on the latch to make it latch or unlatch better

This happened to me when I got the car 2 years ago...I sprayed wd-40 on the latch and it worked. I haven't had the problem since.

That's good advice. The hood latch is somthing that is usually overlooked until there's a problem.
Personally, I lubricate my latches at leas once a year, usually during the spring clean up and maintainance, sometimes in the fall.
