So, it's come to this. The government's going to tell us what color our cars can be: http://wardsauto.com/commentary/cool_paints_ugly_090324/
They are...the government is just looking for frog hairs to fix a bigger ordeal.is it me or are all these 'initiatives' getting to be BEYOND ridiculous?
TAX me
raise taxes on things you don't want me to do
subsidize things you want me to doQUOTE]
Um, no thanks. Taxing something enver gets the revenue they plan out of it because people will use/purchase less because of the tax. Then they just raise the tax on that item or create a new one on something else.
Subsidies are tax money as well. If they want to subsidize something (e.g. ethanol) they have to tax someone/something somewhere.
Screw that. Let the market decide what fails and what doesn't. Anything subsidized, by definition, is not profitable nor fit for the market.
Just my $.02...
:werd:I rather like black, it's my favorite color (or non-color if you want to get technical). I think there are a lot of other more effective ways to help than putting a ban on black cars. I don't even want to start with a list.
