my right headlight looks like it has spots inside of the headlight. I was wondering if it is possible to open the inside of the headlight and clean it out, because I know that some cars' headlights are sealed in. So I just want to know ur opinions.

simple, take it off the car and bake them. 10 minutes at 225 should do the trick. once the rubbery glue is soft, stab a screwdriver in there and split the housing from the casing. clean what you have to clean.

just be careful when you seal them back together or else water might get in

I've been wondering about how to do this too. No matter how many times I clean evil eye's old JDM headlights in the front, it still seems kinda dirty on the inside :sadpace: .

are you sure the spots are on the inside? Try using some plastic cleaner on the outside of the headlights first.

i'm pretty sure its on the inside because when I washed the car, I especially focused on that right headlight, and it doesn't come off so i'm pretty sure its on the inside. I'll try to get some pics for u guys but if u can see in my signature the right one looks foggy.

I've come to the conclusion to NEVER clean your headlights. Sure, they may look really nice when you do it but after a couple weeks, it'll look 10x worse than before you cleaned them. Cleaning them removes the protective coating that the manufacturer put on them.

By the way, if you buy the Turtle Wax restoration kit, they have a protective pad inside that you can use to seal the headlights. I haven't used it yet because they say you need to do it on a warm day and make sure they don't get wet for 24hrs. I'm in NJ, those days never come...

I wet sanded mine a year and 3 months ago......no "protective coating" left like you say and they still look great.

^ i disagree =P i had mine clean and they look exceptional to this day. just get them coated again.

BUT my passenger side managed to get water in it -_- i could go the cheap way and open the head light, clean, and reseal. I'm just going to buy another head light.
