Alright, I have always been curious how fast you guys have got your cars to go stock, or not. I tried to max mine out about a week before that a$% hole hit me. Obviously the speedo says 150, but can you get it to go that fast? I got my car up to almost 130 when it seemed like it didnt want to go much faster. 2 things I think made it not want to go faster, 1 that day there where SUPER strong head winds coming from the direction I was going strong enough to give you a good push standing up. 2 I had both my windows down and my sun roof open. It seemed like my windows being down was creating A LOT of drag inside my car like a parachute, every time the wind kicked up and blew harder it felt like it was pushing my car back. So whats the fastest you guys have got yours up to?

213Mph, but that was on NFS:Underground :chuckles: Seriously, I remember reading somewhere on this forum Celicas (GT and GT-S) can only go up to 130 something.

I've yet to hit 100mph. I don't think I'm going to anytime soon.

And the GTS speed goes to 160mph, not 150.

i had hit 135 back a couple years ago when the gt-s was stock. Once i hit 135 i let right off the gas so if anything it mighta gone up like 1 or 2 more mph, lol. Havent taken it up to 100 in the past year and havent hit 90 for a while, i take it up to 80-85 tops now on the highway, no need to be crazy.

auto gt-s wont pass 120, i never do anything over 70 unless other people are doing it aswell so i cant be singled out as easily

Yeah I will admit any thing over 100 is insane, but thats why I do it. See unlike most other people my age (20) I dont do any drugs, and I dont drink. So I get my thrills other places, such as speeding. I am well aware of the dangers of speeding having lost 2 friends in car accidents in the past 3 years. I only speed on one road, people who live in Indiana probably know it. Its called I-65 its just a HUGE stretch of road that runs the length on Indiana and can take you into Chicago as well. In some areas its just completely open corn fields, no cops, no woods, no large animals. If you go on the right days, such as early weekdays, there are almost no cars as well. Thats when I take my car out and open it up. The average speed of this road alone is 100, when I finally stepped on the gas and got it up there I didnt see 1 person on my side at the road at all until well past slowing down. A lot of things could happen, yes but they didnt that time and thats the thrill. Obviously people will disagree and give me crap but whatever.

not another damn "how fast have you gotten your celica up too" thread, unbelievable. you dont need to be going over 100 on a city road period or your just asking for death and jail. i cant believe im even seeing this thread again, the last 4 have ended up being locked and some no0b banned due to aguring that they have gone 170 in their auto gt's.
