How fast have you got your Celica?
Alright, I have always been curious how fast you guys have got your cars to go stock, or not. I tried to max mine out about a week before that a$% hole hit me. Obviously the speedo says 150, but can you get it to go that fast? I got my car up to almost 130 when it seemed like it didnt want to go much faster. 2 things I think made it not want to go faster, 1 that day there where SUPER strong head winds coming from the direction I was going strong enough to give you a good push standing up. 2 I had both my windows down and my sun roof open. It seemed like my windows being down was creating A LOT of drag inside my car like a parachute, every time the wind kicked up and blew harder it felt like it was pushing my car back. So whats the fastest you guys have got yours up to?

I'm more concerned about other morons who talk on their cell phones and do their make up in traffic than driving 100+ on an open road.

I've only hit 115mph on an empty highway at like 2am racing this ****ing domestic. The only reason i stopped there was because i didn't want it to blow-up... it was starting to feel a little shaky. (Didn't have that problem when i took my friend's z3 up to 150.)
Yeah, thats why I want a Dodge Stealth with R/T and Twin Turbo. I want super fast acceleration, but like I said before every time I start getting ready to want and sell my Celicia. I wake up, walk out side and fall in love with the body style again and cant do it haha. Maybe one of these days Ill work up to it.
Have you seen those lambo test drive vids from the plant in Italy. They make passes on a two way twisty road at crazy speeds. Man I'd love to live there. Yeah, pretty much all I care about is the 0-60, you have to shut down at the speed limit anyway. These threads are like the "8th gen/new Supra" threads. They come up almost every month...
Everyone whines about how dangerous it is but:
1) Most people aren't dumb enough to speed in traffic (cops, frequent lane changes etc)
2) Whether you like it or not, our cars are more responsive at higher speeds. Just try making a quick lane change pass at 50 vs. 90 on the interstate.
I'm not condoning speed but if you everyone has to see what their car can do at least once.....relax

Not condoning speed either, but it sure is nice to try out sometimes to see how much your car can do and reality is most of us don't have access to high-banked tracks hehe. Reminds my of Jay Leno's spin with the Carrera GT while going for top speed.
going over 100+ on public roads is stupid...Especially even more so when your car is taking a good 3 mins to get there (ridiculous amounts of time you are at a steady mph over 100 is ample enough time for something to **** you up or for you to **** someone up)
145mph and blew my injectors. Melted the tips and over heated the coils lol. my car is a little leaned out haha.

Fla people just drive slow.. them and SC. SC drivers basically stop the car when they make a turn
god forbid we take the lives of others into concern...thats just ridiculous
