are summer performance tires on dry hot whether and compare with performance all season tires. How bad is to add 205/55 instead of 205/50 regarding handling? is 50 having considerabling better handling characteristics than 55?

205/55 messes up your speedometer by something like 3 mph. if you want to sacrifice just a little bit of performance, go for all seasons. i have performance tires, and they weren't great on snow, but i made it through about 6 inches ok. high speed handling is different in my opinion with performance tires.

the only diff from 205/50 and 205/55 is the sidewall height. thats why whitegt01 says it'll mess your speedometer. the 2nd number is just a percentage of the first and that number is the lenght of the sidewall. i dont think this will change anything on handling. if both tires are pumped to the same psi, it shouldnt matter, right?
