There is no need to change the fuel filter unless you have problems with the fuel system.
You can put a bottle of Seafoam or similar chemical into the full gas tank and drive until it's almost empty.
It's more important to change the serpentine belt to a Goodyear one. After several years it begins to squeak and have cracks. It's the belt at the side of the engine.
