It was fuel injectors. We had swap them at the same time we did the conversion for the yellow one (00-02 injectors) but apprently those were clogged. We put back the 04 injectors and it started right away. I have no CEL so far, but I have ABS light! Will have to check for that. If anyone have ideas you are welcome. Also, if anyone managed to do the cruise control retrofit I would take that infos. I already have the cruise control ECU and the cruise control actuator. I will aclso get the cruise controle harness soon.

There is a method to get the ABS to flash you a trouble code. http://www.newcelica.org/forums/showpost.php?p=4855508&postcount=7

To do the cruise control, you'll probably have to go by the OEM wiring diagrams in the Audio, Electrical, & Security section to figure out the retrofit. The '04 cruise was all done by the ECM.

The '05 diagram: http://www.newcelica.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=4127&d=1239750402

The '02 diagram: http://www.newcelica.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=4018&d=1230159904

Those are for the Airbags aren't they? And for the wiring diagram I guess the 04 and 05 are the same? Do you have those for ABS? Thank you very much for your help by the way!

This is the '05 procedure for that code. (Sorry, the two pages are in reverse order.)

That's what I tought, ABS seems to be controlled by ECU on 03-05 models. But now, since I have an 01 ECU, I will need to do wiring jobs and get an ABS ECU. Do you have wiring diagram for 2000-2002 and 2003-2005 ABS like you sent me for cruise control? :)

Do you have the complete manual for 04 or 05?
I have most of the '05, of course. ;-)

The 2002 & the 2005 EWDs are both Stickies in the Audio, Electrical, & Security Section.
ABS seems to be controlled by ECU on 03-05 models.
From what I see, it is the "Skid Control ECU with Actuator" under the hood. The '02 has the actuator under the hood & the ECU is under the dash. There are no connections to the Engine ECU with either version. I would think you would be fine w/the '04 ABS version.

Sorry for being that late, I hadn't any chances to look at this before now. From what I see, like you said, there is no direct connection between the engine ECU and the skid control ECU. However, there is some connections between the skid control ECU and the Data Link Connector 3, and this Data Link Connector is connected to the engine ECU.

So, I found that the WFSE connection is missing between this connector and the engine ECU is missing in the conversion. Apparently, the WFSE stands for Write Flash Enable and it gives the Skid Control ECU its programming instructions. Do you think there is any output on the 01 engine ECu I could use for that signal? I can't see any WFSE pin.

If not, I guess I would have to bring the whole ABS system from an 01 to my 04?

I wouldn't think so. I suspect that is for "flashing" the '04 ECU. Earlier ECUs are hard-coded & not flashable.

WFSE is only a wire that runs from DLC3 to the ECU. I don't think it has anything to do with Skid Control. DLC3 is the OBD connector & there are certain diag things you can do with certain pins. Like getting the ABS light to flash out error codes.
