I tried to use the silver turtlewax crayon to fill in some scratches, but it looks even worse. How do I remove the wax the crayon put on?

What is the best product to fill in scratches?

Wash, clay bar, wash, 3M general purpose adhesive cleaner and wash. Now your car is naked and needs something to protect the finish so don't just let it go like that.

Describe the scratches to us. Where are they, how did they get there, how deep are they?

Run a search here for "scratch" and you'll find lots of reading to learn up on the various products and processes.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Is there an easier way to get it off without buying the clay bar and 3M cleaner?

The scratches are almost like cracks. Someone banged my door with their door. They must have had a black gard on the door as it left a smudge, under the smudge, was an abrassion that almost looks like multiple scratches or cracks. It looks like it is mainly the clear coat as they are not too too deep.

I was going to do the following when the weather gets better:

1. Wash the area really well.
2. Remove all the crayon using bug/tar remover.
3. Rinse/Wash again.
4. Apply polish.
5. Apply gold class wax (right now I have cleaner wax).

Thanks!
