I have seen the new maxima on the streets now. I must say that the tail end has gotten progressively WORSE since the one I drove ('87).

Amen. The 4th Gen was no better or worse than the 3rd gen, but the 5th gen only looked good in the SE trim level and the new 6th gen (just released) look like crap.

Why can't automakers get taillights right anymore...the maxima, camry, accord, altima...even the newest acura/infinity offerings have crappy taillight designs. They all look like they were thrown together as an afterthought...

I dunno I think they try to hard on the rest of the car, getting the lines just right, that they aren't too sure what to do with the tail.

I mean just look at the new accord coupe!! :wtf:
