My thoughts are: With as long as you'll be insured (50+ years hopefully) you're bound to run into bad service with even the best company. The company may be amazing, but PEOPLE still work for them. People have bad days, and people will be shitty. Just something you have to deal with. Now as far as what company policies are, no clue and can't help there...

I just plan on sticking with something cheap, and keeping my head low.

What really sucks is they have you by the balls. Illegal to drive without insurance, so YOU need THEM...

Geico isn't even cheap. Nor are they a small company by any means anymore.

I have Progressive and they're fantastic to work with. You can literally do EVERYTHING without ever speaking to a person if you so choose.

The problem is with insurance companies is:
- They all advertise in a fraudulent way :

It's a pet peeve, they all say "on average you save $XXX", BUT the average saving only includes people who switched AND saved not the people who switched AND DID NOT save.

Innaccurate way to report data IMO ;)

Also, I'm on state farm but i'm awfully disappointed with them. They are expensive, sent me a bill for a car that i sold and cancelled the insurance on (on accident). I have a speeding ticket, and they really gouged me for it. Removed all discounts on my policy because of a basic speeding ticket  . I'm shopping around too.

Not everyone can do this, but AARP has Hartford insurance. I'm 29, but I have my dad on my car title as well, so they will insure me. They have been beyond excellent with my claims. I practically got my whole car repainted after a truck chipped the hell out of it. They even paid for my airbrushed hood to be repaired. This amount could have totalled out my car, but they consider my aftermarket mods into the value of my vehicle so they took care of it. And because my claims have never been my fault and my record is clean, my deductible dropped to zero!

I haven't seen anything similar to this before and I did search but nothing came up.

Anyhow, I know we all have different insurances or so and I'd like to know which company really takes care their customers. I see advertisement all the time about company A being better than company B and so on; along with personal stories of good and bad about company A. I've been lucky that in my 10+ years of driving I haven't got into any quarrel with my car and insurance that I haven't had the need to call them to make a claim. I recently wanted to make a change in my provider and I asked around for a quote. One agent replied back, saying that if i just wanted to shop around for quotes than i shouldn't pick him because he is more than that and can provide excellent service and yad yad yad...i was surprised and thought to myself wow, you would say something like this to a potential new client? Also, what services can you provide to me that are well beyond others for you to brag about it?

Sorry for the long post, but just thought I asked and see what kind of service are you guys getting? Good, Bad, etc...btw the response i got was from State Farm.
Progressive. $42/mo. They send me my insurance cards on time. Aside from that, I cannot say much else about them since I don't drive like a douche or smash my car into objects.

The best ones are the ones that do not advertise.

Like USAA they send you a dividend check if they make more than they pay out in claims too.(they have for the past 20 straight years)

USAA here, 130 a month since I was 19. Had my engine replaced when it sucked up water during a storm, claimed under weather damage and they fixed it even though it was from an aftermarket part, and had a tree fall on my right rear panel/hatch, fixed that as well. On top of that since I been over here I'm only paying 25 a month for full coverage since it's just parked.

Great customer service, signing up took 30 minutes to do over the phone, been able to answer all my question I've had since then. The only complaint I have is when the tree fell on my car they didn't want to spend the extra 300 for a new rear fender cause the shop I took my car to won't use used parts. I just told the shop to use the check to get a new part and not re-paint the section since I need the whole car painted anyways. Not to big a deal but I think they could have coughed up the extra bit.

i personally think its bullshit that the government forces you to spend money on services that are not consistently regulated with flat rates.
So essentially you are forced to pay the amount they decide if you want to drive so you dont have to rely on the shitty public transportation that they provide.
