Wait, before you even think I'm talking about me winning in my Celica, I didn't even come close, but it was a race <grins>. Coming from blockbuster, I look in my rear view mirror...wait, what could that be? An ITR I suppose. SO I get onto the highway and take off, of course he catches up VERY quickly, and we get to a stoplight. Well, I know they got 195 hp, and I only have 140, but I have great take offs. So, I get ahead like what? a car length mebe, and 1st and second gear I'm doing really really well. Well, 3rd gear I got toasted, but it's still fun to test my launch compared to other peepz. Anyway, he then raced a very old car, like 40's hot rod. Damn, the hot rod kept up well till they were probably at 90, then the ITR still took off. Those cars have alot of power, props to them.

thanks larry, some sympathy feels a little good. I'm really good at launching, so I don't feel that bad, I wouldn't ever think I could beat one, but we all know how much fun it is just to give it a whirl.

I remember this one kid from around here with a yellow R didn't want to race me cause he thought he would get roasted so bad. It was from a stop, so i probably would have. I'm sure it would be... well maybe kinda close from a roll. I dunno, what do ITR's run stock in the 1/4? Isn't it like mid 14's??

Well I heard LarryD drives his car pretty hard but I think I drive just as hard. Remember when you want the most out of your celica you must drive it to the limit and I mean every ounce of power there is to be found from the engine as well as the drivetrain. I don't think I am good driver as I've never been to track or anything but when I street race I push my Celica to the extreme LIMIT.
I guess that explains why my 2nd, 3rd synchros are fuked up. My engine smells like it's burning pretty descent amount of oil at the extreme high rpm. It also makes some loud ass tapping noise and sound like diesel. No it's not the belt tensioner I just know. In other words, you wouldn't wanna buy this car from me. But anyway I don't care. I am ready to work on this thing. I am a mechanic. hehe

You won't ever hear me saying that. The Type R is just an intermediate step to what I really want. I can't stand FWD cars (or front engine ones for that matter).
