interior question

i got into an accident, and the body shop had replace my whole driver's side body. when i got the car back, i notice that the long plastic peice (right next to the driver's side seat) had a quarter shap cut to it on the edge. it is the plastic peice that hides the carpet lining. i asked why they had to cut it, they said becasue it was like that.
i know for sure it was never like this. can anyone get pics of the the driver's side door pannel from a bird's eye view or from the driver's seat?
