My mom has a brand new 2003 one. We got it in the first week of March. I have had the chance to drive it a few times and love it, yet there are some things that still need improvement. The ride wasnt as smooth as other lexus'. my dad owns a '98 ls400 and that car rides smoother then the sc430. the sc430 also has horrible throttle response. on most cars with 300hp, you feel a jerk when you hit the gas, as for the sc430 it doesnt take off like a 325lb torque car should. but then again, it is a luxury car, so i guess they wanted it to take off smooth off the line. The only way you can get all 300hp out of it, is if you floor it. Only floored it once, and boy does that thing pick up. The sound system is great for classical music, as for rap and hiphop, you would prob need a sub. i cant complain about the interior. its one of the best interiors i have seen in any car. when you drive it, you feel like nothing can touch you!! :gay:

My dad bought it last year. Its $80k here in Europe. Its a great car. The suspensions are hard, I agree, but on dry corners you can really enjoy it despite it weighing 2 metric tons... The engine is very refined and smooth, by no means a slow car. I think my Tsport (european 190hp GTS) hangs on low speed acceleration but its High speed acceleration is impressive. The design is beautiful, and the interior is damn luxurious the sheer quality is amazing. I love it.

I believe most of the complaints about ride harshness are based on the fact that it has runflat tires. Lexus is apparently looking into using something other than the Michelin runflats for the 2004 model due to this harshness.

its a sports car, so you can not make the suspension very smooth, because due to its weight will handle like ****

It is not really a sports car...
It is more of a touring car... More a cruiser than a bruiser...

If you want that V8 to thrust you like it should, give the GS430 a whirl... I found the GS to be more sport-oriented than the SC430.

Handling has yet to reach BMW levels, however (Lexus is still more lux than sport).
