Looking for your advice on buying a used 2007 Dodge RAM with salvage title!

Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy a used car and I found a 2007 Dodge RAM with a 4.7L V8 SOHC 16V engine and it is priced at 8,499$. The title status of the car is salvage. I would like to know if this car is worth buying or not.

I am aware of the fact that the title status is salvage, but I am not sure if the car is worth buying. I have done some research about the car, and it seems like it is a decent deal. However, I am still not sure if I should get it or not.

I would really appreciate it if some of you could give me your opinion about this car. Do you think that it is worth buying a used car with a salvage title? Do you have any prior experience with this model or similar ones? Are there any potential problems that I should be aware of?

Any advice or information about this car would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help.

Why is it on a Salvage title? You need to know what condemned it and look very closely at that to decide for yourself. If it was a flood vehicle walk away, it'll be forever having electrical problems. If it was a fire vehicle it may be OK or it may stink like fire the rest of it's life. If it's got frame damage be careful, it could have issues eating tires due to uncorrectable alignment issues or it may be downright unsafe if the repairs were done incorrectly.

Also that 4.7 has timing chain, sludge, and rocker arm/rocker tower issues at higher miles.

Any accident bad enough to damage the wheel probably wanged up that rear hub and axle, and they cut the rear bumper? Probably because it was bent over into the tire. I bet that rear frame isn't parallel to the other side anymore.
