ok so yesterday i installed my subs into my celica, btw i have a GTS with premium sound. i tapped into the wires just after the factory amp for the rca signal. for the rca conversion i used a periphial piece that seems made quite well. i also have a 2.4 firad cap, and 2 tens with a xplode amp. but now when i turn off my stereo the bass turns on really loud and won't turn off unless you turn the head unit back on. so for the moment i have been unplugging the rca cables before i shut it off. if u have any helpful information on how to make this go away please just let me know.

Thanks,
James

Try checking your ground from the amp you may have a bad ground there.

Gate the amp with the same gate used for the factory outboard Amp.

That happened to me before, its cause of those crappy RCA conversion boxes. It's just a VERY loud humming sound correct?

Mine acted very weird and if the stereo was off and I banged the rear quarter panel by the box, I could make the subs play a note.. It freaked me out for awhile.
