I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but idling issues have nothing to do with an alternator... possibly a blow back from the fuel injector being improperly seated? If it was an electrical issue, your car would be grounded out and pretty much dead electrically.. This is just my assumption, but we all know what assume means...
