This pic (of ohmygts' car) was pirated from the gallery on this forum. I know I've seen this done before, but I've never seen anyone go as far as to steal the pic, then slap their name on it as if it were their own property:

and the pirated pic with this person's name slapped on it:

:wtf: What can be done about this other than contacting the seller and politely asking him to remove it?

Nothing. He's hosting it off his own bandwidth and its public domain since its posted on this site. He should have put a watermark or a copyright across it to keep people from using it.

yeah, thats stupid especially if its on ebay. If someone posts a pic on ebay of something they are selling it should be what is EXACTLY posted in the picture..UNLESS they state otherwise like "hood I am selling is LIKE this one, but not this exact one in the picture"

Does anyone remember when some asshole was using a pic of my car, hosted right from my server? Then I changed the pic to that wrecked Celica? :rofl: That was great.

hehe yeah that rocked.

I also remember the one where someone had linked their auction to pics someone else hosted, and he swapped them for some porno. Unfortunately this guy took the pic, saved it, and hosted it himself.
