dood dont be fooled by truck and SUV's. theyre not THAT much better in the snow than a FWD car.

as a matter of fact i sometimes find it EASIER to drive a FWD vehicle in the snow. pickup trucks have NO weight in the back so it makes it VERY easy to fishtail all over the place. it fawkin pisses me off how all these soccer moms think they are invicible cause they have "4wd." when in reality they have NO clue on the proper use of it
:werd: Randy's right. I've heard the same thing too from a guy with a pickup. I wouldn't mind having a Wrangler though as a beater. :)

Oh, and my Celi's all nice and clean in the garage. This weekend is supposed to be a snow marathon though. Today's snow will melt by tomorrow, at least in NYC.
oh man joe....my jeep SUCKED in the snow worse than my pickup. it had such a short wheelbase it was nearly impossible to make a turn without sliding sideways.

it was even WORSE when i threw on the 33x12.50 MT's, just too much tire on the ground, but they did sip up the snow pretty good :gap:
traffic is ****ing horrible...I spent 2 hours on rt. 110 just going about 2 miles...****ing rediculous...I wouldnt mind having a TSI or a GSX as a beater right now ;)
Joe me and you both... My celi is chillin in my garage right now. Its good to have a dodge durango as a beater (Dads truck) Btw.. He never drives it though so im lucky.
me too, the celica has been in the garage for the past 3 days undriven, cause i havent had to go anywhere cause of the funeral and all
I can usually grab my mom's 4Runner if the weather is that bad. Its pretty good in the snow.
way too much difference between a snow tyre and mudder.
og course! i was just stating how much the MT's sucked in the snow.....which i totally knew when i bought them. bought for wheeling, not intended for winter
I could barely drive my truck in this blizzard.
Between the fact it doesn't look like they plowed in 4 hours and the blinding snow....well I had to dodge a couple trees
I'm glad it's snowing. Good snow conditions for the weekend for boarding.
it's horrible here in NH the roads were all slushed up and there was a thin layer of ice forming on the roads towards dusk. but i had fun drifting through empty parking lots :gap:
it's true, my boss drives an H2 and he says it sucks in the snow, he did a 360 in front of his house last storm.
Wow, didn't know that info bout the Wrangler's and H2's. So I guess it really doesn't matter too much what you drive when the weather is really bad out.

And the weather people are liars. So much for little to no accumulation. It took 2 and a half hours to get home from Penn station last night, a commute that is usually 55 minutes. :furious:

I hope this weekend isn't bad, otherwise I'm not even gonna bother leaving the house.
