First sketch of the future Morgan EvaGT
The car is set to debut this weekend at the Pebble Beach Concours, but apparently Morgan thought that an extra little teaser a couple of days before the event wouldn’t hurt. They provided the world with this sketch of the EvaGT and, although it is much better than the obscure teasers Ford provided for the Explorer, it still leaves us wanting more. Ahhh, the beauty of teasers.

The EvaGT is built on a modified version of the aluminum chassis featured on the Aero Supersports and is powered by a BMW 3-liter straight six engine that uses mono twin turbo and direct injection technologies and develops a total of 306 hp and a maximum torque of 295 lb-ft. It’s mated to a six speed automatic gearbox or to a six speed manual transmission. The engine sprints the car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, while top speed goes up to 170 mph.

If the specifications and teasers are enough to make you want to take a closer look at the EvaGT then come back this weekend as we will have official details once the car debuts at Pebble Beach. But if you are seriously interested then you better act fast; the EvaGT is set to go into production in 2012 with only 100 units planned and Morgan will be taking deposits on Sunday.

The profile shape looks nice, but to be perfectly honest I'm really not liking the sketch for the front...

2011 Morgan 3 Wheeler

2011 Morgan Threewheeler
And what of the new 2011 Morgan Threewheeler?

The new Morgan will be fitted with the latest 'Screaming Eagle' 1800cc engine from a Harley Davidson married to a five-speed manual transmission from the Mazda 5.

It's based on a tubular frame wrapped in aluminium superformed bodywork. The leather-padded cockpit will be protected by two rollover bars, there is no hood available. Morgan claims a kerbweight of 500kg.

That light weight will ensure rapid performance: 0-62mph takes just 4.5sec and top speed is estimated at 115mph.
When can I buy the new Morgan Threewheeler?

The car will be launched at the 2011 Geneva motor show, with UK sales expected in summer 2011. Prices will be announced at launch.

Morgan will build around 800 cars this year; a spokeswomen said that they have no idea what demand will be like for the Threewheeler.

Cool. Always liked the old ones. Good to know that there's going to be new productions.
