Well, damn, I get a call from the Toyota dealership today and guess what showed up; the 2003 GT-S 6 speed I ordered 5 and a half months ago. I posted a few weeks ago, that I couldn't wait any longer and bought a RSX Type S. I had no idea when I purchased my Type S, the Celica was only 3 weeks away from arriving. The way the dealership made it sound, it was more than a month out at best. Oh well, I love my Type S, and have no regrets. But, this Celica is badass, and I want to give the members here a chance at it first. So, in case you are in the market for a new Celica, and live in the Dallas TX area, here is what I ordered.

2003 Super White GT-S 6 speed with the following options:
- Perforated leather seats
- ABS
- 16" wheel/tire upgrade
- Side airbags
- Moonroof
- Door edge guards
- Vehicle protection package (consists of lusterizing sealant, vinyl & textile shield, sound shield, and sealant cleaner)
- Sunroof wind deflector
- Extra mile option package C
* Permavin/Glass Etch
* Tape stripe
* Cargo Net
* Keyless entry W/Security
* Bodyside moulding
* Mud guards
* Night vision mirror upgrade W/compass & temperature indicator
* Wheel locks
* Road Hazard - Tire&Wheel warrenty
* Rear spoiler
* 3 year/36,000 mile roadside assitance at no extra charge

Yep, beautiful car. The only thing I didn't order, was the action package. Otherwise as you can see, it's completely loaded. If you are interested, please call Tom Hammon at: 972-258-6516 - Toyota Of Irving. He is a great guy, and you should be able to work out a very good deal on the car with him. I will be going to the dealership tomorrow with my girl to get a couple of pictures of the car, just because it's so ironic I waited so long for the car, and ended up getting something else 3 weeks before the Celica showed up. Oh well, guess it wasn't meant to be. Maybe if Toyota does make a new 2005 model, I will have my chance. For now, I'm having a blast with my new Type S. Keep in mind, this is only 1 of 6 Celica GT-S 6 speeds in all of Texas, so if you want it, you better act fast.

I'm going to post this in the USA - Southwest forum as well, but the general forum gets so much traffic I wanted it here as well.

I put it in the General forum for a reason. This post is for the benefit of others who may be having as difficult time finding a nicely loaded GT-S 6 speed as I was. If the moderators want to move it, fine, but I know the General forum is the most heavily trafficed.

Yep ArchangelX, I suppose I was bit impatient. Thank God I went with something as nice as the Celica, otherwise I would have been quite pissed. I love my new car, not quite sure if I could even be happy with the Celica at this point. I'm having too much fun with my RSX.

OMG, what dealers will call over the counter stuff just to make some extra cash on a sale.....wax, armor-all, foam and the clearcoat...:chuckles:

All that means is wax, some brand of armor-all type stuff, and a scotch guard spray sprayed on the carpets that comes by the barrel :) I've worked in detail at a dealership before.

Edit: We also charged like $400 or so at the dealership for this "package".

Unlike you I waited almost 3 years for my perfect Celica, eversince it came out ;), 2 of my close friends were on a desperate search for their "perfect" celica also but both gave up after searching for nearly a year. I got mine perfectly as I wanted more than I hoped for, it was worth everyday of the 3 year wait, it only took 2 days to ship it to me after being located, I couldn't sleep for those 2 days straight, and when I arrived at the dealership in the middle of that cold frosty night to check up... December 1, 2002 at 12:35 am, they were unloading my baby and I almost cried, I sh!t you not! LOL, my g/f thought I was about to pass out and have a heart attack, no car ever done that to me. Anyways, there's my cheesy but true story.

Heres my pride and joy, 4 miles on the odo fresh off the truck, Toyota Towne Dealership, 12:42 am, December 1st, 2002!!!

I feel the same exact way about my baby :)
When I first got my car it was like it was destined to be mine. I went out into the used car sales lot of American Toyota and the first thing to catch my eye was a red celica gt-s 6spd with 23k miles on it. I sat in it and fell in love with the car. After checking it out carefully, it was very well taken care of. I wasn't actually expecting to take it home that day I first saw it, but I got such a nice deal on it I did. It was being sold for $18,000 but I got it for $16,000 and am very proud to have one of the very few red celicas in New Mexico :)
