CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!!!! get some degreaser and spray it on a towel, start wiping and be prepared to get alot of knuckle bashes. Clean under the hood and the paint in the engine compartment - use degreaser first, then wax. Make sure you get all the residue from the wax off too. Armor-all (or something like it for the hoses, engine plastics, fan shroud etc. Get your valve cover powder painted and add bling factor parts like a C-One strut bar etc. And I suggest not to spray your engine with water - you can screw up alot of electronics etc. Good luck - also spend time- maybe a 1/2 hour every month after you do your major clean to keep it looking good. I've been to a few meets and there are very few cars with open hoods- You could eat off my engine. Good luck and be prepared to spend a few hours cleaning.

If it works for you fine - I'm not going there. I don't need to. All I said was I wouldn't do it. If you do, be very careful and cover the components as you advised. Water has a way of making its way into some strange places.:blah:

Oh yah, the RSX detailing guide is very good. I just checked it out.

Those are some NICE engine compartments - to bad it's not a Celica. We have way to much stuff under the hood!!:blah:
