Erwin, a UWA lens is great for lanscapes. For portraits, a prime lens such as the 50mm 1.4 is pretty handy. A 1.8 should be more affordable though.
I think I'll go purchase a Canon 430EX II flash off of B&H. They've got the lowest prices so far @ $280 shipped. That's fawkin' cheap compared to the $20 discount I have with Best Buy, whose $329.99 price tag is the same throughout several other stores.
I realize what I'm about to post has to do with photoshop, but it also has to do with photography and videos. I use PS Preimier elements to edit movies and whatnot.. but I can't figure out how to get pictures to show up right. They show up loking very off like bad editing in PS. I'm trying to do a video that most would do in windows video maker that is basicly pics running with music in the background. Can anyone help?
Ok well I somehow sixed the Elements problem... not sure how :shrugs: Oh well.
Anyways I'm going to a really big car meet/drag/drift competition on the 20th of this month.. I want to rent a lens or 2 to take with me since I won't have my supra ready to make any passes. I was thinking about taking these 2 lenses Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye , and Canon EF-S 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM .... I chose these because I think they are wide angle(although I'm not sure) so can anyone think of a better lens or more suitable lens to take?
I know a few of you have covered weddings, but if I may ask, how much were you paid to do it? A friend wants me to cover her wedding and I feel like her offer is way too much for someone like me.
I honestly feel that to be considered and asked to do it is more than enough, seeing how she is a friend.
The photography company that I work for, charges around $1300 minimum. That usually included like 2 photographers, one portrait session (engagement shoot), one 20"x30" gallery portrait, online gallery, and then like 4 hours of photography on the wedding day.
And from there, it only goes up. As the hours go up, the price does. You have to factor in all the edit time and things like that.
Just be careful. It is someone's special day and you don't want to ruin it. I know I get pretty nervous just second shooting for my boss's company. Its nerve racking. Just gotta be prepared for anything.
