Hello all,

I have been wondering about this for sometime so I thought I would ask for opinions from everyone. When I get my taxes back....do you guy's think I should get a PowerFC or should I buy some of my engine internals for my rebuild?

Obviously down the road I will need the pfc and it'd be nice to have it right now...but at the same time...I have my engine rebuild that has been sitting so I need to purchase some parts for it....

thanx guys...

if your engine isnt in proper health...the pfc would be a step in the wrong direction

Personally, if it were me, building a stroker up from the ground up while having a working engine in the car, I would get the PFC first since it will benefit your running engine now... and the built engine when it is done. Just my .02
see thats what I was thinking

Running engine or not?
If car is not running then build engine but do not run the car without the PowerFC, wait until the engine is in the car then put in PowerFC and run it. So answer is both.
If engine is running and you are thinking about building the engine, then ofcourse get PowerFC first. It would run if you are NA, turbo GTS, or build engine turbo GTS. You should have your management ready before your built engine goes into engine bay or leave car sitting there without starting until you do.

Get the PFC now. Trust me, it takes a long time to come up to speed on trying to tune one, and tuning it on your current car will be fairly easy since there are good base maps. I actually bought my turbo kit used and didn't install it for over a year as I was doing other supporting mods needed for the install. I ganked the PFC from the kit immediately and started messing around with it N/A.
