I know this should probably be in the tech-troubleshooting forum, but it didn't look like much action was happening over there. I got this 00 gts at around 60k miles, it's got around 67k now, and I've noticed the lift seems to be getting weaker. It's possible that it's my imagination, but I've heard this could be because of broken lift bolts or something like that. I don't really know much about the engine or tranny, but I would like to troubleshoot it here and see if anyone has any ideas. It still goes to redline easy enough, and it seems to speed up like a lift at around 6100, but it's not nearly the kick it used to be.

yup. change em lift bolts then gun that ******* to around 6k and tell us how it went.

I'm having the same problem. I check out my engine and found 1 broken lift bolt lodged inside. I replaced the unbroken one, but couldnt do anything about the broken one at the time. I'm going to reopen my engine again and try to extract it out. If not i'm going straight to the dealers to yell at them and have them do it for free.
